Kalbarri Community Markets – Stallholder Information

The Kalbarri Community Markets are proudly run by the Kalbarri Development Association (KDA), a not-for-profit community group.

Our Markets bring locals and visitors together, showcasing the creativity, produce, and spirit of Kalbarri. By taking part, you’re helping us raise funds that go back into improving facilities and amenities in our town.

We’d love to have you join us! Below you’ll find everything you need to know about setting up a stall.  When you have read it all and have no more questions, please go ahead and register your Market Stall Holder Account.

🌟 What Stallholders Need to Know

  • Set up a Market Stall Holder Account for free via the KDA Membership Page (this will not make you a member of KDA), click here.

  • Registration for a Market Stall: Book your stall via the Events Page for the Markets you wish to attend.

  • Insurance: Regular stallholders must hold public liability insurance. One-off cover can be arranged under KDA’s policy for $20.

  • Food stalls: Must provide a Shire of Northampton food permit.

  • If you can’t attend: Please let the Market Coordinator know by the Friday before or as soon as possible.

💡 Sites & Set-up

  • Every registered stallholder will be allocated a site.

  • Wind safety is essential! Stalls must be weighted with sandbags or water weights. Star pickets are not permitted by the Shire.

  • Only one vehicle per stall is allowed behind the stall on grass.

  • Power is limited and prioritised for food vendors. Generators are allowed with prior notice.

  • All electrical items must be tested and tagged yearly. Leads must be outdoor-rated and at least 15m. Unsafe set-ups will not be allowed.

🤝 Code of Conduct

We aim for a friendly, community-focused atmosphere. Please:

  • Treat all stallholders, volunteers, and visitors with respect.

  • Avoid abusive, threatening, or dishonest behaviour.

  • Direct any issues to the Market Coordinator (or KDA Chairperson if needed).

We very much prefer that you pay online, and we are offering a 5% discount to give you an incentive to book and pay this way.  Cash on the day is payable at the advertised price.

Please note that fees are based on a 3m x 3m space and multiplied, and encroaching outside of the covered area (or part thereof) incurs a fee for an additional space.  Therefore, it is important that you make the correct calculation when booking your site.  Our volunteers will not be entering into arguments with stall holders who do not comply. If applicable fees are not paid, the Stall Holder Account will be suspended or cancelled.
